Ardgay Public Hall - Case Study
"Archie Rose (Korrie) could not have been more helpful. The hall's experience of Korrie's service can only be described as positive and professional from start to finish."
The Ardgay Village Hall was one of eleven community buildings in the Highlands to benefit from free solar power. This was made possible by a £100,000 grant from SSE's Sustainable Development Fund which was managed through leading charity Community Energy Scotland.
The 4kW solar photovoltaic system is made up of 16 high performance JA solar panels. This will have an estimated output of 3,200kWh per annum. The panels are mounted on a Schletter frame and utilise a Fronius IGTL 3.6 inverter.
This system will lead to an annual energy cost reduction of around £800-£1000 for 20 years. This will be made up from reduced energy bills and an income from the Feed-In Tariff.
