Korrie have just replaced an old oil boiler with a new biomass system in a large stone walled farm house near Inverness.
The owner decided it was time to replace his old oil boiler which was at the end of its life. To reduce his fuel bills, a biomass system was selected which proivdes low cost heating and hot water with very little carbon emissions.
With reliability an important factor for his new system, Korrie recommended an ETA Compact 32kW pellet boiler. This well-made and highly efficient boiler can offer heating on demand with little input from its user. It features automatic cleaning and a large ash pan to limit maintenance by the client.
The installation of a buffer tank offers great additional fuel savings as it can store the entire output of the boiler and provide energy when required. This is particularly useful during the Autumn and Spring months, when there are smaller heat demands as this prevents unnecessary boiler ignitions.
