Cairn House, Inverness - Case Study
Accommodating the Cairn Housing Association, Cairn House in Inverness provides office and conferencing facilities for the North of Scotland. Previously running on mains gas, the association looked for an alternative which could reduce running costs and also reduce their carbon footprint.
Cairn approached Korrie who installed a very successful biomass system for one of the association's care homes in Tain. It was decided that a biomass system was to be installed in a purpose built plant room which would tie into the existing heating system.
A 60kW Trianco Greenflame Eco boiler was installed along with an 800 litre buffer vessel. The boiler contains an integrated 282kg hopper meaning the boiler onluy needs refilled once a week.
"The installation, maintenance and expert knowledge of the Korrie team has been exceptional and the support Cairn has received in processing the RHI application has been invaluable."
