Two x 499kW District Biomass Boilers
Hilton Hotel, Coylumbridge- Case Study
The Hilton Hotel in Coylumbridge is the perfect escape for an unforgettable family vacation. When the hotel was looking to improve their heating system, they looked to KORRIE for a solution.
KORRIE proposed the installation of a district biomass system, installed in an external plantroom with a bulk fuel store. The existing boiler was kept as a back up, with the new system interfaced with the old using a plate heat exchanger. Heat is pumped from the external system via under-ground pipework. The new system results in huge savings compared to the oil system, along with being eligible for commercial Renewable Heat Incentive Payments for energy they produce.
The plantroom contained two 499kW Herz Firematic biomass boilers and a 10,000 buffer tank. The two boilers work together to provide heat and hot water to the buffer tank. Each boiler is fed using an auger system from the 40T fuel store which holds the wood pellets
